The cotton used in our canvas comes from Adilabad in the state of Telangana, India, where it for the most part is produced on small scale by self-sufficient farmers. By buying directly from marginalised cultivators, Sandqvist can offer the farmers better pay and good working conditions. The organic farming ensures that no harmful pesticides are used, which also benefits the local communities.
